Biography

Lillian Neely is a third-year Master's student on the Literature and Literature Theory track in the English Department. Her research interests lie in Indigenous literature, though she has recently gone more deeply into researching the slasher subgenre of horror.

Education

B.A. in English, Southeast Missouri State University, 2024

Teaching

Lillian Neely is currently approaching her ENGL 101 sections through popular media, specifically with the original Scream (1996) film. Her approach allows students to engage critically, rhetorically, and personally while also engaging their creativity.
