Biography

J Valencia-Cheng, They/Them/Elle, is an MFA in English candidate on the Creative Writing track, as well as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) at the University of Kansas.

They focus primarily on research narratives of marginalization, speculative fiction and literature, empathy-based pedagogy, and experimental fiction using mixed media. Other areas of interest are social justice in higher education, disability/accessibility, Queer of Color studies, Trans Studies, photography, etc.
