Biography

Suzanne Tanner is PhD candidate in literature at KU. She received her BA in English Teaching from Brigham Young University, and her MA in English literature from the University of Houston. Her areas of study include early modern drama and medieval literature, with a critical focus in history of the book, print culture, material studies, media studies, the history of reading, and reading theories. Her current work looks at the many ways the experiences of attending a play and reading a printed play overlapped for early modern audiences. You can read some of her work in the forthcoming Routledge Handbook of Shakespeare and Interface (2021).
